.NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level extension is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing 3rd-level domains remained working.

Through our company, you can reserve your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar firm and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no special requirements on who can reserve a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
