Custom Error Pages in Shared Hosting
You will be able to set up custom error pages for each of your sites effortlessly when you use any of our shared plans. This can easily be done via the Hosted Domains part of the Hepsia CP, which comes with all accounts and once you go there, you'll be able to set your customized pages independently for any domain or subdomain. You need to upload the files to your account ahead of time and input the links to them through the process. This feature may be de-activated at any time and the options you shall be able to to pick from are a generic page from our system or a default Apache server page. Custom error pages may be set with an .htaccess file as well. The file should be put in the domain or subdomain folder and it should contain some system code and links to the pages. If you are not tech-savvy, you may copy the entire content required for the file from our Help section.
Custom Error Pages in Semi-dedicated Servers
All of our semi-dedicated plans support custom made error pages, so you'll be able to use this function for each domain or subdomain hosted in your account. All it takes to do this is to navigate to the Hosted Domains section of the Hepsia Control Panel, to click the Edit button related to the given domain/subdomain and then to input the link to the custom file. You'll be able to do this independently for each and every error type. You'll be able to switch back to a default error page anytime if required and the change shall take effect straightaway. An alternative way to achieve the same exact result is to set an .htaccess file in the domain or subdomain folder associated with the website that you would like to edit and to type in a few lines of program code in it. If you'd like to try this method, you could copy and paste the needed code from our Knowledge Base article on custom error pages, hence you will not need any computer programming skills or prior experience.
